Replacing a furnace is one of the biggest decisions you will make for your home. GTA Home Comfort is a local, owner-operated HVAC business based in Scarborough, installing high-efficiency gas furnaces across Scarborough, Toronto, East York, North York, Markham, Pickering and Ajax.
We start with your house, not a sales sheet. The right furnace depends on your home’s size, insulation, windows, ductwork and how you actually use the heat.
When it is time for a new furnace
- Your furnace is roughly 15–20 years old or older
- Repairs are needed every winter and costs keep adding up
- Heating bills keep rising even though your usage has not changed
- Rooms heat unevenly, or the furnace runs constantly to keep up
- A technician has found a cracked heat exchanger or another safety issue
- You are renovating, adding space or switching from an older system
How we size and install your furnace
An oversized furnace short cycles, wastes gas and wears out early. An undersized one never quite keeps up. We look at your home’s square footage, insulation, windows and existing ductwork to recommend the right capacity, then check that the ductwork, venting and gas line suit the new unit.
Installation covers removing the old furnace, setting the new one, connecting the gas, venting and condensate drain, and testing combustion and safety controls. We leave the work area clean and show you how the new system and thermostat work.
High-efficiency options
Modern high-efficiency gas furnaces use far less gas than older mid-efficiency units. Variable-speed and two-stage models also run more quietly and keep temperatures more even. We will explain the trade-offs between models so you can choose what fits your home and budget.
Thinking about a heat pump or a hybrid system instead? Ask us. We can compare a new furnace with those options for your home.
Licensed, local and accountable
Gas appliance installation in Ontario must be done by a TSSA-registered contractor. GTA Home Comfort is TSSA-licensed (#000396913). We are a local business, so the technician who installs your furnace is the one you call if you ever need help with it.
